Empowering Women Through the Word Women

The word women is a loaded term. In the sense of gender, it is the state of being a woman, after the manarche. But despite its sexist connotations, “woman” still serves a useful purpose as a shorthand for feminine traits and social status. While it is no longer a proper identity, the term honors females and enacts the feminine. The term is a powerful tool for the empowerment of women.

While these incidents are rare, they are still very real and cause many hardships.
